The free-shape series results from Elias’ research into a new form language. It marks a first step toward working with more asymmetrical compositions while maintaining a sense of balance. The piece expresses a sculptural approach to furniture, where hand-shaped, inclined curves give the form a quiet ceremonial presence.

Executed in mahogany, the material brings a sense of depth and ancient purity to the work.

As wood remains a living material, subtle variations in the panel, grain and finish are inherent to the process and contribute to the natural character of each piece.
