D’LISA CREAGER WIRE SCULPTURE

Inspired by a workshop led by Ruth Asawa’s daughter, Artist Aiko Cuneo, D’Lisa Creager utilizes her looping technique to produce complex large scale hanging sculptures.  The unique combination of robust structural properties and soft pliability allow for copper wire to transform into a variety of intricate compositions. Creager’s interlocking wire loops are woven into organic shapes ranging from elegant single layer forms to complex multi-layered mind benders.
